Assault on a Broken Leg

I was attacked while physically incapacitated. Police reports sanitize the violence, but my broken leg was evidence enough.

Charles Wilson and Dana Wilson’s relationship had history of violence and another eruption occurred.  During this event, Charles Wilson is angered with messages on Dana’s cell phone.  He is demanding that he give up her relationship with Dean and Dana is complying with his demands.  In the heat of the moment Charles again has physical altercations causing injury to her healing leg from the motorcycle accident and subsequent surgeries.  She had been drinking wine as it was purchased by Charles.  Due to previous injuries sustained by Charles both with the emotional abuse and the physical abuse she wanted to get away from him to prevent additional harm from occurring to herself.  He threatened that if he left he would call the cops on her.  The confrontation escalated to include Charles beating Dana’s broken leg with her crutch.  She needed to remove herself to prevent additional harm and was able to secure her car keys so that she could get in her vehicle – lock her doors and call her mother to come get her.  The cops sided with Charles and did not report the incident correctly and did not take into consideration the historical violence that had previously occurred in this relationship.

Main Points of Inaccuracy and Clarifications:

1. Violence and Injury
   Charles struck my broken leg intentionally with my crutch. I did not mention my leg or thigh being injured in a fall, as the report claims. The marks on my leg were from this impact, not an accidental injury.

2. Alcohol Consumption Misrepresentation
   The presence of empty wine bottles does not imply they were consumed recently or that they were related to the incident.

3. False Claim Regarding Children’s Statements
   The report inaccurately suggests my children, Henry and Edward, witnessed and denied Charles pushing me. The children were fearful and may not have felt comfortable contradicting their father’s account in front of him.

4. Lack of Notification on DCFS Report
   The officers failed to inform me of a DCFS report. I would like a follow-up on this report and all actions taken in connection with it.

DCFS case was created and report was unfounded.

This documents a description of what occurred “dropped phone, car tire rolled over it”.  The incident was falsified in fear of Charles’ backlash for putting the truth on the Affidavit with Version Wireless’ Insurance provider Asurion.
